I Call`em Pokie Sticks

Featured Replies

I wasn`t sure where to post this but they do live in my tackle box.

Very handy for removing hooks, patricularly deep  ones.

Often times they work better than pliers.

Just push the v notch into the bend of the hook ,push and turn [if needed].

Easy and cheap to make. The largest one is about 12" long  usually  for salt water critters.

The small one is great for crappies.

Darn,I can`t get the pic to copy in.Maybe in the morning

I've actually used sticks to unhook fish when I forgot my pliers. Just push against the bend of the hook and the hook will usually back out, works pretty well.

These are 1/8" aluminum with  bright tape on them so I can find them and to protect the hands.

I like your style! Definitely making some of those at work tomorrow.
