I saw these rods at my local bass pro for the first time and i was just wondering if anyone had any experience with them and whether i should consider one of them for squarebills.

I really like my Bass Pro Crankin Stick, however I have one of the older models.  Most of Bass Pros rods are pretty good quality in my experience.

Great crankbait rod.  Light weight and well balanced enough to be a great topwater stick too.

Maybe this will help you decide. All my rods are high end G Loomis rods,

except my crank bait rod. "BPS Crankin' Stick".

I have two older crankin sticks that I have had for years. Both have served me well.

I have the previous model, this will be its 5th season I believe, works great, in great shape still and have pulled in muskie and pike with this rod. 

Okay well since everyone has nothing but good things to say about this rod what would be a good length if im using sqaurebills while fishing mostly in ponds and sometimes lakes from boat. And also what power rod?

I'd go 7' m/f. But that's just me.

Really can feel the crankbait's vibration.

 

In fact, you can feel the vibration better with a BPS Cranking Stick than some of the other crankbait rods I have.

 

I always take it along in tournaments with my G. Loomis and St. Croix and Shimano sticks.

 

That BPS Cranking Stick is excellent.

 

I suggest investing in one of your choice.

I would go with a 7-foot rod but if you are short you may want to go down to a 6'6" rod.

 

Go to a tackle store and feel how the rod in different lengths feels and then decide which one is the most comfortable for you.

I am about 6-foot so i think im gonna go with kickstand and pick up a 7' mf my next paycheck.
