Thought I would give a heads up about a sale I stumbled across. 3lb spools of hybrid original 79.95, that's 14400 yds of 12 lb line.outlet bait and tackle. YZ has an incredible shelf life, although I don't know how I'll ever use it all.

Oh my....I may be an easy sell.

If I had the cash. ...I'd get it. I don't think the fish care about the line color at all. And I know I dont at that price!

Yeah - I saw that 3-pound spool quite a while ago...but just couldn't imagine using pink line........for probably the rest of my life.............

All YZ leader is pink. Red is the first color filtered out of the visible spectrum. Pink being the lightest shade of red would theoretically become invisible first. New studies suggest that fluoro will actually transmit light, sorta like fiber optic and may be more visible than any line especially sunny days. Having a color in your line blocks the wavelength and prevents this. Besides I'm a line watcher, the hardest line for me to see is the green tinted hybrid.

^ I have found myself using YZultra soft in mist green for this same reason. I can see it better- and I haven't seen a single indication that the fish care at all.

Pink is my daughter's favorite color.  With only one baitcast reel...and no more than she gets to fish....that would last her many lifetimes.  I'm not fussy about line color.  I like Siege Neon Tangerine because it is easier for me to see.  Never asked a fish if it liked it or not. 

My objection to pink line has nothing to do with what the fish see, and everything to do with what I see. I don't want to see pink line for the next 10-15 years every time I look at one of my rod racks...

 

Plus, I'm still working on finishing my stash from a PREVIOUS YZ killer deal.  I have enough 6 lb and 8 lb UltraSoft to probably last literally the rest of my life.  I've finished one of the spools of 10 lb (5,800 yds) and am working through the second spool. Another two, maybe three years and I will have to finally shop for some 10-12 pound line...

 

Dang! All sold out of the pink Would have looked good on my wife's St. Croix Avid Pearl too.
