What u catchin them on

I chartered a boat in Key West with my wife and son about a year ago. Nice boat with a friendly captain and one crew member. We went out about 7 miles and there we had company of other boats. About 3 hours of fishing produced grouper and trigger fish. Upon returning to the dock the crew cleaned our catch and we took it over to a restaurant where it was weighed and cooked  for us. After a large fresh seafood lunch we took a lot of fish back to the condo. Would have been perfect trip except the wife got sea sick. She asked me what to do and I told her the only thing that would cure sea sickness was to set under a tree :wink2:

Call Cept lee get some fresh dead speedo and goggle eye and ballyhoo for the snapper and grouper .. High speed troll with at least 50 wide and up tackle for wahoo... And live shrimp Or pilchards for snook and tarpon

I bet the largemouth bass and peacock bass fishing down there is insane, since most people hit the flats for saltwater fish. That is if there are any ponds or canals with freshwater..

There aren't. Don't.

If you're going the charter route, you'll be fished out as that's a pretty good time of year. Enjoy the plethora of bars to drink the soreness away.

If you head just a bit up from KW, try Jeff Knapp, this guy is old school and all business.

That photo is a tarpon I caught last year with him, my boy on the left.

his website is old, but contact info is on there...I know he likes to snook fish...maybe he can do a snook charter.

Have fun.
