Repainting Old Lures

Featured Replies

Gentlemen,

I have several old Bomber lures that come from my younger days.  We used them extensively and with very good result.  These are wood but they are not in anything near collectable condition.  Paint is cracked and chipped with some of the metal bills, hooks and hardware rusted.  I'm wondering if it is possible to refinish, repaint and otherwise put these lures back to use.  Any recommendations?  Thanks.

i dont repaint them cuz im not much of an artist but if the hooks are rusted u should replace them.

strip the baits down to bare wood and re-seal the wood.  prime, paint, and a good clearcoat.   baits will be better than when they were new.

Sorry Laurentino, but those lures are worthless. I would suggest you put all of them in a box and send them to me as soon as possible. Feel free to throw in any other lures with them. ;D
