Can't Take It Any More! Need Help..

Featured Replies

Alright people, I hate to ask this kind of question, bit I need help. I can't sit in the house anymore. In NC today, we have a break in the weather. It's supposed to be in the 70's. Its been in the 40's for the most part recently. I'm sure water is still pretty cold but Imma try my luck today. I'll be bank beating a smaller pond. Very little visable structure\ cover. How do you guys say I go about fooling these fish?

Same situation and state for me. I tied on a spinnerbait to cover water and (surprise) a senko. I've been spending a lot of time fishing deep the last few months, with no success. I'm going to try covering more water and seeing if I can get a reaction  bite.

Well, I will be building a snowman later, as they are saying a foot of snow here, sorry I have no sympathy for your duress. Lol, throw a shad rap #5 then jig & trailor, those are sound choices.

Good fishing, I guess.. Lol

Thanks guys. I'll def be taking a jig out with me. Possibly a shakey head, and maybe a shallow crank. I'm no good in cold water, so I'm really not too sure where to start.

I caught a chunk on a texas-rigged senko, dragging it over logs. If you have any logs in your pond, definitely give it a try.

I live in eastern nc and I have been catching them pretty good on spinnerbaits, jerkbaits and the dropshot rig. I will be heading to the pond as soon as I get off work, hopefully this warm Sunny day has got them moving around and feeding

Fluke ;)

Float and fly.....just need water without ice, and nothing wrong with ice fishing....Live bait helps for bass under the ice but they are usually at large sizes in winter under the ice, we used to catch most on 2" minnows, but crappie jigs would catch bass and under the ice they used to always be larger fish than you would expect...Of course it helps to have other gamefish on the lake like Walleye, Trout etc.. Perch..Crappie, light line is key, a 4-5lb bass in winter fights super sluggish, almost a slow steady run without drag or barely any drag with 4lb test when in spring that is skill.
