CTS Spinning rod.....

Featured Replies

This one is a CTS EBT783 in Charcoal Metallic.  Guides are Batson Zirconium Charcoal rings, PacBay Woven Graphite Real Seat, Epoxy Ramps, Burl Cork on end.

It wasn't originally intended to be marbled, but I made the ramps to steep and I couldn't get the thread to walk up without it falling off about 3/4 of the way up, after many frustrating attempts, I decided to marble it.

I like that you even marbled the guide wraps, that's pretty cool.

I still haven't found a thread combo I like a lot for that blank... in the direct sunlight, it has both yellow and blue glitter dust in the paint...

That is a Daiwa Black Widow II, they were a limited edition made only for the state of California a couple years ago.

I know what you mean on the blank color, I really like it in the sunlight, but I havent found anything to match the color thread wise without breaking up the finish. I used gold metallic and silver metallic paint dust on this over black thread and it doesnt look to bad in the sun, but it still doesnt match up that well.
