Shimano Calcutta Conquest 201Dc Vs Shimano Cte201Dc

Featured Replies

I'm really interested in purchasing one of these two reels, but I'm not really familiar and have never held one. I've only heard great things from them. I was wondering if anyone out there in the fishing world has both and has a preference and why. I'd be mainly using this new reel as a heavy swimbait setup. 2oz - 10oz lures. Thanks for the help guys and gals.

I don't think either one would have the line capacity for the baits you're going to try and throw.

Those two reels are basically the same reel. You might be limited with line capacity with either one. Maico1 suggestion of a conquest 300 would serve you well. Although not a dc reel the 2014 300 series feels like a 200 series in hand.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions guys. I just bought a Daiwa Shrapnel and it should arrive within the next couple of weeks. I'll update on how it performs.
