Desperation has hit hard.

I'll be free for the next month on weekends until my club tourney seasons starts back up.  I usually fish Cumberland and Salem County waters.  You are welcome to hop on  my boat.  Looks like it will be spawn/post spawn conditions on most of the lakes.

Met up with board member jyu87 to fish Rainbow Lake on Sunday. We got on fish early. Pads and wood were key. I lost a 3lber as it catapulted through the air. Finally we settled in and started nailng bass and pickerel. Jason caught the greenies on chatterbaits. My bass came on a 6"PTL junebug colored lizard. One came on a wacky rigged Senko. We had 15+ largies and a bunch of toothy critters. I had a 4.45lber for the best of day. Finally I did land another 3lber after losing TWO earlier. Jason mopped up on the pickerel.

Whoa Salt, some clear water you're fishing. Sounds like you had some fun before the storms. Congrats on the pig!

Very clear water. It's an old sand pit. Love fishing there, it holds good fish and is a nice getaway from all the stained cedar water.. haha

Here's another pic that gives you an idea. Bluegill beds in 2-3 FOW

Yes, it's private water. Lucky to have access to it for sure.... It's not fish in a barrel, but with the right approach on any given day it can be pretty close. I did not get any water temps...

I see you're in Vineland. I work in Millville. Small world

Went out today this morning from 9:30 to 1:30pm to check out how the water was at a local pond. As you all know, I was stomping the banks and trying to brush up on my t-rig sets & swim jigs. Ended up catching 3 fish on a Megabass FX Knuckle -1, 1 Swim Jig. None on the T-rig.

womp womp. only one of them were a bass! the pickerel were back out to play.

Started out as a cool morning on Davis Mill Pond. A KVD 1.5 crank caught the first few fish. Bass were tight to wood. Jason and I continued to catch them on chatterbaits, jigs, cranks. The Senko was not really effective. We had over 20 bass, most in the 1 1/2 lb range. Water temps started in the mid 60's and topped off at around 70 midday.

Best of day........

Caught a total of 9 bass on Elmer Lake. All the fish were chunky. Chatterbaits, cranks, plastics and spinnerbaits did the damage. We also caught four pickerels, one solid one by Jason.

Best of day......

Late report from yesterday...Had an unexpected day off from work, so I decided to make the best of it and headed out to Rainbow lake at 5:30 AM.  Hit some of my hot spots and was not disappointed.  I caught a total of ten keeper bass, mostly on plastics, including a T-rigged PTL lizard, brush hogs and baby brush hogs. Pads and wood were the productive areas.  Later on I moved offshore and caught a few on a KVD 1.5 crankbait.

Does that place ever disappoint?! Great stuff Joe! Jealous of your day off on a very nice day!

Oh yea!!!  Calm, hot sunny Summer days can really shut down the bite.

I went out to scout a 80 acre lake near me in Forked River. I wanted to see if it was possible to launch my Bass Raider there. While I was there I tossed a green pumpkin Senko around and caught a nice pound and a halfer. Guess where I'll be tomorrow?

Hitting it tomorrow as well. Can't wait

Jyu87 and I will be rockin' it on Sunday morning.  Good Luck everyone!!!!

Another pretty solid day. Put in at 9 and played with some small bass and the go pro in an attempt to get a fish eating a dropshot on video... Will see how that worked out later when I look at the footage.

had 2 good fish today one on a drop shot and the big fish on a swimbait

Nice salt! Those are some healthy looking fish.

Fished Mary Elmer Lake yesterday.  We caught largies on a variety of lures including chatterbaits, crankbaits, jigs and plastics. 12 keepers and 4 short fish. The KVD cranks caught the bigger fish. The bite really shut down after 12:00PM. Jason caught a spinning rod setup with a crankbait. Funny thing, there was a fish on the other end, an 8lb channel cat.biggrin.gif. The carp spawning created havoc earlier in the morning.

FD putting down some photo effects. Getting good with these photo uploads I see.

It's supposed to be nice this weekend. Will the recent cold snap screw things up?

Won't know unless you get out there. :)
