Anyone ever used them? Im not much of a live bait fisherman for LM, but the stripers in paupack cant pass them up. As well as the kittys. Have got some lunker smallies on them too but mostly use them for beer fishing at night. But anyway back to sabiki rig, can you cast them towards a surfacing school, or better off vertical approach? Always had firends with casts nets in florida... Not sure if you can use them on paupack anyway.. Let me know fellas

Just get a cast net permit for the pack. Cast nets are legal in PA, but only by permit, and only by specific water.

Sabiki rigs are basically drop shots with multiple hooks, so casting and vertical jigging both work really well.  I've always had great results using them, 9 times out of 10 catching the bait is just as fun as using them for bait.  They catch basically every kind of baitfish, so don't worry about them not biting. 

My family has a place up there and always talked to guys who has caught stripers but I never even seen one. They are on my target list but don't know if they are reachable without a boat. Possibly by the dam? I guess when I go up this year I'll have to try these guys.

You can purchase it off the PFBC Web portal, it's an add on, like trout stamp or Erie permit. I get one for my home water every year. I'm not saying a sabiki rig wouldn't work, but here in PA, check the regs but, I think you could only use a three hook rig(and how many gills will you catch too?).

IDK.. Ive heard a few people on this and other forums that in PA you can only have 3 hooks on a sabiki... I read through the Laws and regulations and I am not sure why they are saying that,

That is correct 3 hooks maximum. You need to take the conventional 6 hook sabiki rig & cut it in half making two 3 hooks rigs by adding an extra swivel.
