First I'm having a little trouble deciding what line I should put on my rod. So I have a 7' 9'' Abu Garcia Veritas Heavy Action. I use it for bigger baits such as a Huddleston swimbait. I'm contemplating to either put 15 lb fluorocarbon or braid. What do you think?

 

 

 

Ever thought about mono? I use 17 to 25 on my big and smaller swim bait rods. Berkley big game clear does the job great. Swimbait fish will hook themselves and you'll want the "shock" value.

25lb. Suffix Siege or Big Game (mono).  They are great lines for big swimbaits, in my opinion at least. 

I would use mono, I try to avoid it as much as possible. I'm not sponsored and money is tight. I wish I could have a rod for every kind of bait. I use the rod also for pitching, jigs, and heavy texas rigs. The reason why I stay away from mono is the sensitivity, It's just a big pet peve of mine not being able to feel my bait and the structure.

Looking at your rod it's rated for 5/8-3 oz lures, 12-25 lb line. OK for 6" & 68 Hudds, not 8" or swimbaits over 3 oz. Mono, Nylon, copolymer, or FC line in the 15-20 lb would be good.
