Good Size Mayan Cichlid.

Featured Replies

Caught this out in SW Ranches the other day. For reference, that's a 6" Fluke in its mouth...

Very nice! I caught my largest mayan today on a c-rigged 3" swim senko but failed to take a pic. It may have been a bit smaller than yours but it fought like a scrappy 2lb bass. They're definitely a blast to catch!

They are a blast to catch, especially with UL.

MC's are the scrappiest fighters around. Big Oscars are too.  Now that its warming up, MC's can be found along the bank pretty much everywhere down here in South FL.

I agree, I'm never disappointed when I catch one.

I've caught two in Coral Springs in a canal one took a little swimbait and the other took a red eye shad

Mayans have been hot, had 3 yesterday and 2 today, pretty good size on this one.  They fought  great, just not quite as good as the 2 10ish pound jacks I had this morning..........hehe

Little lunch and I'm off to try some peacocks,
