As the title says, I'm looking for information regarding the new E6X spinning/casting rods.

 

Do you own them?

 

How are they?

 

Any info is appreciated.

I have the 845 cbr, got to use it a little last week and even caught a couple on it. I used everything from 1.5s to 6xds, handled them all well. Also tried it with the vixen, good rod for that too. I like the full grip, balance is good and the sensitivity is better than my powell max 705 cbr which is the same price. It felt a little bit more powerful than the max but with a slightly more moderate taper.

I have the mbr843 and the jwr852s. Have only used the 843. I used it most of last Subday throwing a spinner bait. It's my first loomis casting rod. I was very pkeased with the rod. Easy to cast and handled fish great.

After that day of fishing I bought the 852 the following Monday. I hope to put it to use this weekend.

I have the E6X 845C CBR 7' MH MF. I used it briefly so far. It is very light weight & balances nicely with a Curado I. It transmits vibration well so you know how your crankbait is working or not. I think it's a good rod for the price based on my experience. I caught a 7.5lb bass on it and it handled that fish fine. Mine is rated up to 1 oz  baits but I was  lob casting a LC  SKT Mag MR on it which weighs 1.5 oz.

I'm excited to try it out. I'll give an update next week.

I took the 852 out today. It was pretty windy so I didn't use it a ton. I caught one on a small shakeyhead and another on a senko. The rod is a little tip heavy. I think I'm going to like the rod, but it doesn't feel as nice as the mbr843 did immediately. I want to try it on a calmer day to really test it out.

Thinking about the 842 now, since you mention the tip heaviness of the 852.

 

Please keep me updated.  I'm really on the fence about this one.  I almost pulled the trigger yesterday, but thought I'd wait for your update.

 

Now i'm not sure what to do :/

I have an 853c JWR. It feels tip heavy slightly with my Aldebaran mounted, which is really light reel. It balances out really well with my lews Speed spool tourneys that I use for Crankbait. I'm thinking my 853 will balance well with a reel in the six ounce range (read: excuse to buy metanium or chronarch Ci4).

I've had the chance to fish my MBR 843 & 844 a handful of times now and I'm very happy with both of them. They both seem to balance very well with my Citica E's. If I had to pick a favorite right now I'd slightly favor the 843 just because it's a bit more versatile being a MH power as opposed to the 844 being H. Both great sticks for the money though.

Pulled the trigger and bought a medium 7' 842SJR (and another Procyon because I am in love with them).

 

 

It is also a little tip heavy, but I still really like it.  

I wouldn't mind the cranking rod but the lower power fast action rods seem to act like the JDM style of rods, my buddy stopped by yesterday to show me his MBR 843 and it has too much flex for a fast action rod.  He told me the heavy power like the 844 isn't whippy but he needed something a little more versatile and was told by the shop owner that it will fish much better than it feels in hand so we'll see this week how it is but I don't care for the feel of them just holding them so I have to see on the water performance.
