Has anyone seen any bass on the beds around nc. Went to a couple of my spots and they are moving up just not locked on yet. Are we still in the prespawn? Last year this time I was crossing eyes on 5lbers by now.

I saw a male and a pretty big female on a bed last weekend, but they were not locked on yet. After a couple casts the female spotted me and took off, I didnt see her back there the rest of the day

Not too sure if they're on beds, but def. Shallow. The past two days have been killer for me fishing right on the banks. Caught my new PB yesterday. A six pounder which slammed my spook probably a foot off the bank.

im in VA, just above you, and here the quite a few bass have moved shallow into dense cover but dont seem to be straying away from it.

i got a 100x40 yard or so cove where theres Flats, rocks, trenches, everything. But the entire cove is barren of largemouth, except for a decent size beaver hut where theres a good 15-20 that pretty much just patrol around it all day

It's been a strange year to be sure. I didn't see a single bed this weekend. They seem to be full on pre-spawn and are eating but nary a bed that I saw.

Fished a tournament on Shearon Harris Saturday the 18th and bass were on the beds.  They were in the 2-3lb range.  Someone told me the bigger fish had already moved off the beds.  The tournament was won with fish not caught off beds.
