I currently have a silver max and inferno red 7 ft mh with 30 lb braid as my only set up. I am wanting to add a second simply because the bait monkey got me. This combi has been great for a single. I am a bank beater and river fish smallies. Lots of jerk baits, poppers, cranks, some senkos what I use mostly now

Maybe pick up a spinning set up to fish lighter baits.

If you like to river fish I would suggest a 6'6-7'0 medium light spinning rod or a spinning rod with a 1/8-3/8oz lure rating.

Yep. MLXF spinning rod all the way. Light baits, drop shot, river tackle etc... Killer 2 punch combo!!

X4.  Find a used Fenwick Smallmouth 6'9" MXF.  I believe they made it in both spinning and baitcast.  Pretty sure I have both. 

X5.  My go-to rod for river smallie fishing is a MLXF spinning rod.

X6. A ML/F or ML/XF would be perfect for rivers smallies with the baits you mentioned.
