Backed it too far into my garage. Will this damage affect my steering? Should I take it off?

You should still be able to use it. Once you're on plane it should be out of the water anyway if set up properly. The only effect I really see as possibly happening is it pulling a little at take off, but that should be minimal. 

I would replace or remove it. With a 150 you have some serious low end torque. You don't want any surprises on take off or coming down off plane. Better to be cautiuos and safe.
