I use a Curado I with a HawgTech handle for my frogging. Great reel for that application. I also have a CH50E. Given the choice as a frogging reel I will lean towards the Curado I. The 50E  is a great reel I love mine and it better serves me in other applications.

I do have to agree that a curado I HG would be a better choice though.

I would personally want the Curado I in the 7:1 ratio...   I want the reel as fast as I can get when I'm throwing a frog.

The I in a 7:1 is an ideal match for frogging. I failed to mention that I use the 7:1, that speed matched with the right rod makes for an awesome setup.

Not to thread jack but are there any functional gains from adding a hawgtech handle ?

More leverage with a longer handle.
