I live a few minutes away. Haven't been yet there yet. I think it might rain this weekend (I heard). But every pond I been to I can't buy a catch! Good luck

GREAT! It's down to either Pony Pasture for smallmouth or the Upper James near Covington for smallmouth, just trying to decide

Well I checked the forecast here for Saturday. 80 degrees no chance of rain. My solunar calendar says great fishing day. Tight lines!

I have fished two ponds so far in April and clobbered them in both.

So how come Go Ravens has not done well?

What ponds are you fishing?

As for the Pony Pasture, the Historic James River will not be fishable for two more weeks.

The river is very high and moving fast. Too dangerous to venture out.

Stay with local ponds.

I try to fish the one behind Martins on Huguenot when I get off at 5. And the one by the dmv on midlothian turnpike. Guess I'm just a rookie

I know some guys kayak fishing the pumonkey (sp?) river this weekend.

Since it looks like Pony Pasture is a dud, any other ideas for good fishing near richmond?
