Say you have a favorite hook and want to attach a weight to the shank to rig it Texas style so that the weight is under the worm and will make it fall horizontal. To make a weighted hook that would look kinda like this -- http://moanerhooks.com/product/the-weighted-stroker/. I could just add a sliding worm bullet weight but that would not allow the bait (such as a craw) to fall horizontally.

BPS sells these lead weights to use on swimbait style hooks, sometimes I add a split shot to a wacky rigged hook if I need a bit of help.

DOA makes a pinch on weight thats exactly what you are looking for. I have used them . I add them to spinnerbait hooks also .

Lunker City used to make weights that fit on their sluggo hooks.  They worked, but I thought that they were cumbersome and time consuming to deal with.  I think that if you want some keel weighted hook - just buy one.  Owner used to make some that were more "tail weighted" than "keel weighted" and they would back up your bait a little bit, kind of like the Langer Flying Lure.

 

They must not have been that popular, because I haven't seen them for a while on any retail shelf.

Have you tried using a rubber core sinker? Remove the rubber core and pinch the weight on the hook.

D.O.A. Pinch weights..You can break them into any size you want and they fit well on almost any style worm hook. Mustad makes a weighted worm hook that comes with sliding weights on it similar to the Mr, Twister Keeper hooks, but they have a pin that keeps the baits on much better.

 

The Zman Trigger Hooks are also great for a horizontal fall and they are super stout and will not bend on heavy braid and fast action heavy rod...
