Flw Rayovac Clear Lake

Featured Replies

I am planning on heading out to Clear Lake in September and fishing the FLW Rayovac Clear Lake Tournament (first time).  I am registered as a co-angler and currently on a very long waiting list.  My question is, if there are not enough pros/boaters signed up would it be a bad idea for me to enter in as a "pro" or boater?  I ask because I have a 2006 Ranger 178 VS.  This would mean I would have a co-angler assigned to fish with me.  Most co-anglers sign up to fish with a pro, which I definitely am not.  In fact I have very limited tournament experience (club level).  Would having a 17' 8" boat be a problem?  It does have a split livewell, and Im not sure of capacity but it definitely not the size of the 20+ footers that will be a that type of tournament.  Any thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated.  Thanks.
