I have been pouring drop shot sinkers and jig heads. When I poured into my new molds, a screw lock shakey head, the lead heads are loose, especially the 1/16 oz, any suggestions? Would it help to heat the hook some? I am using a 4/0 size.

Theres not enough lead on the 1/16oz (or 1/8 or 3/16 for that matter) to keep em from doing that, plus theres no collar or anything down the hook, it will help some if your molds hotter but it never goes away, just make sure its straight when its powder coated and it will be good to go!

same thing I have found.

It may also be the way you're taking them out of the mold after pouring!!!!!!!  Don't grab hook when taking them out of the mold, take them out by the sprue!!!  That lead even when hardened is still hot, and if you pull the heads out of the mold by the hook you will loosen them.

Once I started doing this in all my molds I never had a problem again

Thanks guys, I am going to try it again.  I only poured 2 batches after pouring other stuff.  Thought I would try getting some suggestions before pouring a lot of them.  I will make sure the mold is hotter before starting to pour.
