Featured Replies

I trust my Ipilot....but not that much

I did it once when I first got mine just playing around but wouldn't make it a habit.

Mine won't clear the trailer when it's down! Unless I back my truck half way in the lake to get the trailer deep enough to clear, and don't care to do that. So, if I have to be in the boat to deploy the TM after boat has cleared the trailer, just as well go ahead and pull boat to dock while I'm at it.

had not thot about deploying issues

If the signal was better it wouldn't be that bad, the darn thing has a hard time keeping in contact with a finger in its way 2ft away from each other

I've done it, but I was just showing off. If I didn't have a few buddies around with boats I wouldn't have tried it.

If you are going to try it and are driving your boat twards you turn your remote around and point it at you so the controls are not backwards

Other than trying to impress, or entertain others, why?

Study Murphy's Law.  Using the remote controlled trolling motor adds one more factor into the operation that can go wrong.

When that something goes wrong, you end up with egg on your face at the very least.
