Hey guys, does anyone have any input about these lakes? Good, bad, or otherwise? I've tried that little pier and zilch. Do I need a jon boat? I have access to one, but only if necessary. Any advice would be awesome.

I used to fish those lakes a lot years ago when I lived in the area.The great thing about a small boat is you can jump lake to lake in that area if the fishing is slow on one of the lakes.A Jon boat and an electric motor is a big plus.Soft plastics(motor-oil,electric blue,firecracker ) were my faves in a ribbon tail worm.Find the deeper water banks after the spawn and fish a Texas rig slowwwww.Hope this helps a little.

I've been fishing there over 30 years and know enough to write a book about that place.  What lake were you fishing?  What time of day?  I'm getting ready to move to Isle of Wight and if you can help me find a few lakes out that way, I'd appreciate it.  Let me know what you need to know about Lone Star.

Brayberry, best bass lake, and best panfish lake? I can get a jon boat from a friend, if needed. I'm a bass newbie, but not to fishing. IOW lakes, I gotta research, not many but I'll check.
