I am thinking about upgrading from the Abu Garcia Revo SX to the Revo Rocket. I realize the gear ratio is much faster but is it worth the $300?

Not $300.00 but on ebay you can get them for about $210.00 shipped. I've even seen them at $199.00 on occasion. That makes it a little easier to swallow.

do you like your sx? I have a gen 2 sx and i really like it. Never held a rocket but id bet theyre nice. you get what you pay for from abu....

I plan to buy the JDM Revo Black 9. Its too pretty not to.

 

I have Revo sx gen 1 and gen 2s plus 2 rockets.  I like the rockets for flipping and pitching. 

I have a Revo S it's not a bad reel. But it's nothin special I might try a shimano chronarch
