Awesome to hear that!  First time at Chabot I was with a bunch of friends and really didn't have that much time to focus on fishing, but I heard boating near the island can yield some good fish.  Will definitely give that a try!  Looking forward to fishing Lafeyette as well!  Thanks tons for the tips

I have a bass boat docked up in Pittsburg for fishing the delta, and 2 Hobie i9s for yak fishing. Potentially interested in some new fishing pals.

I live in Sausalito (across the Bay). Bank fishermen though. Looking into a Hobie myself right now. How do you like the i9s? How far are you going out with them on the Bay?

I love 'em. Much easier to store than a solid body kayak. 

I've taken them everywhere in the bay, but with our wind conditions, there's no avoiding getting wet. I prefer to take them to lakes to stay dry.
