Power Pole Issues?

Featured Replies

hey, does anyone else have a power pole with the wireless remote? I realized on the water my power pole didn't engage when i pressed the the wireless remote. the LED light on the remote and deck remote show power with the LED turning on when keys are pressed. But the motor doesn't turn on and also the LED on the power pole motor doesn't lit up either..

Could this be a fuse issue? Just wanted to know if anyone had this occurrence before with their poles. as the tech support is closed until Monday.

Thanks,

-zildjian

Mine is a 2008 model & I had to change the battery in the control box when that happened to me.

What year/model is your Power-Pole?

My first inclination is to hook up to them via Bluetooth and the C-Monster on your smartphone and see if you can control them that way.  If you've never done that, you might be prompted to update the software, which could also be the issue.

But your model may not have the Bluetooth feature.

It's the Power Pole 8' Pro Sereies II model. I bought it two years ago. And never once had an issue with it. Until I got on the water for the first time and went to deploy from my wireless remote and then I got nothing. No noise from the motor nothing. When I got home I opened up my back deck door and looked at the pump and hydraulic fulid tank. I noticed my hydraulic fuild was getting close to the Minimum Level so I filled it back up and also no light would turn ON on the actual pump when hitting the remote key or on the actual pump keys. I'm not sure if my model is Bluetooth I've never used it if i do have it. Also how do I update the software for my power pole if I do have the Bluetooth enabled Power Pole?

Thanks,

-Nick

If it not working with the pump switches and not lighting up you don't have power to it. It's a blown fuse or bad connection.

Fuse.  pretty common the first use or 2 of the year.

To update your software, download the C-Monster app from the app store (search for "power-pole").  Then turn on your bluetooth on the phone, get near the boat.  Find the poles to pair with, and then launch the application after pairing.  The app will take you through the rest.

Are you guys referring to the tracing down the blown fuse thats in the fuse box underneath my dash or the inline fuse thats running out from my motor? Also does anyone know of the top of their head what size the replacement fuses are that they use for two power poles? I'd like to pick up a few for any other occurrences. Is replacing the fuse a common thing every two years? Or do they blow more frequently because of electrical issues?

Thank you Glenn for the support, i will check after work tomorrow afternoon and I'll let you guys know as soon as I do. Appreciate the posts guys.

think the originals were 20a. Mine came with 30a and the new blade units have 40A i believe

I just checked the fuses. They are all still good. I also tried syncing to the c monster app with no luck. The LED on top of the pump is not lit up either. Very strange for my pump to suddenly just stop working. I called power pole tech service line, and they said I would need a new circuit board. This really baffels me.
