Hello, Is anyone using this ? Ive seen videos with it on a basstracker 170 it seems to work great ,When i called them they recommend 2 units , Is that really necessary ? Thanks

Probably depends on what your boat, motor, gear, etc weigh.i have one on my jon boat that weighs about 600ish pounds competely loaded and it stops you pretty well. You can set the power to have anchor you firm or a little lighter. You could try one and order a second of you think you need it. Personally on your boat I would get a full size unit just because my micro is a pain going under bridges all the time. It holds really well though and if that's your concern I wouldn't worry about it
