Look at the Lews line up they have some nice reels , I have all GLoomis /Lews set ups couldn't be happier .....

I traded in a bass boat to get a deep V , I'm happy with sitting a little lower and having a smaller casting deck, You stated that you fish for various species , Your better off with a deep V, as for not performing as well with the trolling motor , I find no difference at all although my Lund Rebel does sit a little lower in the water ... Good luck either way

I have a dozen Lews Both LFS and pro G all a re great reels I use mostly the Team lews I like the weight and don't make you tired , but I have several Pro Gs mounted on Loomis Gl2 and 3 rods and are excellent combos

I have mostly Lews and with the exception of the bb2 are all on the smaller size and are good reels that run the gambit on price... Good Luck

Broke a brand new IMX over the summer that I had bought online cost 100.00 they sent the new one I sent back the old one free of charge in the old tube ... Couldn't complain it was my fault .....

Be careful on what you purchase on eBay especially used , Your much better off spending a few bucks more and dealing with someone reputable , I bought a helix 7 from a dealer that was sealed in the box had put it away for use with my boat but traded in the boat and got a helix 10 sold the unit and it didn't work , I had to send it in for the guy and have it delivered to me ....can become a hassle ...
