A Good Beer

Featured Replies

Boulevard Beer, founded in 1989 in Kansas City and now in 25 states, is my favorite beer.  Having said that, I rarely drink it anymore. Unfortunately, over the last few years craft beers have become anathema to my digestive system and I can't drink them without a level of discomfort that is beyond tolerable.  I miss their Pale Ale, Bob's 47, Nutcracker Ale, 80 Acre, and Unfiltered Wheat beers the most.  If you are a craft beer lover you should give Boulevard a try if it is available in your state.  Sorry for the commercial, but so many craft beers makers are regional and the only way to learn about them is to share.

As someone who LOVED the dry stout before they stopped brewing it, I really like the Dark Truth Stout that they just came out with. Some of the favorites would be 80 Acre and Unfiltered Wheat, Irish Ale, Bob's 47 and Tank 7. The Bourbon Barrel Quad is really good too, just dangerous since it's more alcoholic.

I drank quite a bit of Samuel Adams in the mid 90's I really liked it..

Sam Adams was great in the 90's, it just isn't the same beer anymore. Or I suppose my taste buds are just 20 years closer to useless, that could be it, lol.

Never had a Bell's I didn't like; Dogfish Head makes some outstanding (and sometimes plain outlandish) beer; closer to home the Capitol Brewery, New Glarus Brewery, and Central Waters Brewing Co. all make a plethora of good brews that are worth checking out if you're in the area.

I liked the dry stout too.  And the Amber that they made for a few years was good as well.  I was sorry to see them stop brewing it.
