I got 4 of the HG series what's the difference in ipg, prob a stupid question esp when a guy owns four of the reels and don't knows the difference, but I just saw I ipg series today and never noticed before... Please be gentle... Lol

    IPG is a 5 gear ratio reel while the IHG is the 7 gear ratio.

     

    Personally I only use 7 gear reels unless I'm deep cranking in which then I would use the 5 gear.

    The lower gear models would also be nice if you were throwing big spinnerbaits with big blades.
