i have been fishing at a power plant lake, the water is as clear as some of the small mouth lakes up north were you can see the bottom at 30 ft so I'm gonna use a leader.

Well I don't flip, I pitch. When pitching I use about a 2' leader.

I always used a uni to uni and spent about 4 hours the other night tying the Alberto and putting it and the uni to uni through some tests. I have now tied the Alberto on all my rods that I have a leader on. I will test it out this weekend, hopefully on a good one.

I started off with a uni to uni yrs ago, however due to its strength and smaller profile the alberto became my go to knot. Extremely easy to tie.

Can't go wrong with regular Power Pro in 30-50lb. It just depends how heavy the cover and bass are. I usually try to keep my knot out of the reel and before the first guide. I always tie a longer leader so that I don't have to retie that knot over and over. Alberto knot forsure, keeps the flouro protected.

For heavy line and the Alberto, just do five wraps up and down. Make sure you put he tag end through right side of the loop at the end.

I've got a little more than 6 months using 10# US Braid, liked it so much I have 2 inshore setups with 20# for the last few months.  The price is attractive, but more important to me is reduced line twist and no wind knots.  Using other brands like PP, PP slick, Fins, Suffix I get lots of line twist using both inline spinners and barracuda tubes, I don't even use a BB swivel with my inline spinners.  I'm catching some pretty good fish with this line.

The negative is locally I can only buy 150 yd spools of orange, I do believe I can order 500 yd spools in green as well as orange.
