HK USP-45 for a duty pistol
The majority of my pistols are HK. The Mark 23 is the cats meow...lol. people that have them don't sell them. The USP is an excellent firearm as well, 2 other ones to maybe consider is the P30 and the VP9.

Swim jig vs. chatterbait
Always have one of each tied on, but I will always pickup the swimjig first...
-
When to not use a swim jig?
I always have a swim jig tied on and it is the first bait I always start with. There is no place, time or condition that I won't throw a swim jig....

2017 Tatula SV TW vs 2020 Tatula SV TW
I have all 3 of these reels and they are all great reels.... I have skipped docks with the 17 and the 20 and they are both great for this technique. Never tried my Elite for this technique but I would think it would perform just as well....

Chatterbait rod
Going to be trial and error as to what feels the best to you. I have 2 rods I fish chatterbaits on...1st is. 7" 4" MH/R Tatula Elite rod and the 2nd is a 7' 3" H/MS Glass Evergreen Combat stick JackHammer special rod. I prefer the more parabolic bend I get from these rods. I also use Tatula MH/R rods for swim jigs and spinnerbaits.

Skipping
Good tip, I will try that. I have been learning to skip baits this year also.
-
What do you always have tied on...
So true...lol But this year I have thrown a chatterbait and the Ned Rig a lot more then the swig jig. It is so difficult to not just pickup what you are most confident fishing with...

What do you always have tied on...
Always have a white swim jig tied on...

Diawa tatula elete
Correct it has a softer tip but the backbone to get a good hook set and the fish out of cover. The flipping stick is for short accurate casts and still also has plenty of backbone to get the fish out of the nasty stuff....
-
Diawa tatula elete
The 7' 4" Frog Rod definitely casts better and farther then the 7' 3" flipping stick....I can definitely cast farther and with greater accuracy with the Frog Rod. Both are great rods....
-
Diawa tatula elete
I have the 7' 3" H/F Elite rod and the Tatula 7' 4" Frog Rod and they are both great rods...
-
Evergreen 7 MHG vs 7'3HG
I throw 3/8 and 1/2oz chatterbaits with Zako trailers and it handles them extremely well....haven't tried anything heavier yet...
-
Evergreen 7 MHG vs 7'3HG
I have the 7' 3" Heavy Glass Jackhammer rod and it is absolutely amazing for fishing chatterbaits....
