I picked-up a *** Combat frog yesterday & am wondering if anyone that uses *** frogs has had any trouble with the legs staying attached?

They walk awesome after you put skirt legs on them. I love them both ways though!!

Haven't had serious problems with the legs but they take on water real fast. The regular ones seem better just smaller.

Seal the nose with supeglue.  Mine did the same thing.

I'm going to have to try the super glue trick. I fished mine once and the minuite it sank I put it back in the box and have not touched it since.

Thank You for the replies. I bought 1 of these the other day because of the leg style & weight. I use the 3:16 No Bull Frog which has a similar leg style. For the lighter frogs I pretty much use the Boze Sumo Frog.  It will take on water also but after every 2nd or 3rd I just give it a squeeze & all is good. I like the softness of the Combat & Sumo frogs it will expose the hooks easily when the fish take it. On my other brands of frogs I put a couple of pin holes on top of the head to help let the air out of it for better hook ups  when it is hit, it helps some. For some reason when I put the brand name of the Combat frog the other day It was changed to *** after I posted it.   I Do like the style of the combat frog I just hope the legs don't tear up easy for I didn't see any replacement legs on there web site.

I also have a *** and it just wants to sink very unimpressed about it that's a lot of money to just sink used it a couple times and never touched it again.

I sealed the hooks on mine up with E6000 industrial strength adhesive.

I have used the brand in question, and I am an avid frogger. Have been for over 12 yrs. I have used several frogs in the past and I currently only throw 2 brands. If I offend any one its not my intention, the frog brand in question on this thread, although they will you catch fish, it's a POS. Durability is horrible. You will lose the legs within a few  fish and it will tear badly soon after. There are better frogs out there imo.  Skirted frogs will last longer. The legs and I will be the first to admit I fell for them, are gimmicky. LOL....  They are enticing to see when the frog is moving, but they won't stay on for long unfortunately.

I bought one and it only lasted 1 cast. First cast got it got bit and bye bye legs. I tried to contact them about it and got a ridiculously hard time. I think I ended up throwing it away cause I was not happy with the BS they gave me.

The 2 frogs I throw and really like are Booyah pad crashers and LiveTarget frogs. Out of those 2, LT's are one of the best frogs out on the market presently. Imho. I am currently experimenting with Sebile's pivot frog but the jury is still out on this one. When it comes to frogs everyone preference varies widely. My advice is to try the different brands, and over time you will gravitate towards a particular kind or one specifically. Best of luck.

I guess my question is answered about the legs. When they get torn up I'll try a skirt. I do like the body style & weight so if the skirt works I'll buy a few more.

I like the LTs as well, but I am also partial to the Lunk3rhunts.  They work really good if you just give them some skirt legs once the legs rip.  It's almost like they undergo a natural metamorphosis to me haha...  

 

 

About those Sebile frogs- I got one and it broke at the pivot before I even threw it.  It was noticeably crooked when I took it out of the package and so I tried to just give it a little adjustment and it broke right where the hook pivots- I can't imagine a fish would be any kinder during a fight.  Actually if there was a fish on it would have ripped the hook right out so count me out on the pivot frogs.

I'm also a big fan of the Booyah and LT frogs. At the price the Booyah is awesome, and about the only one I buy anymore.

I am loving the booyah poppin pad crasher I got it pops, chugs, walks, pops and walks, pops and hops, all depending on how I twitch the rod. I believe a few more may be in order.
