Finally got the yak slimed... Was a cruddy overcast day, but managed one. Wasn't a giant, but the first in the yak. Caught him under some low lying branches on a hollow body frog.

That's what I was thinking, but it wasn't happening. I did have other blow ups, but no commits. At least this guy put on a show, gave me a nice blow up.

There is no going back once you fish from a yak!!

Worked great, I mean it wasn't really windy, but Got to mess with it. Used my anchor in deeper water, and my stake out pole in the shallows.

It is now, three years ago this place was a dump. The town took it over , cleaned it up, kept it closed for a year to let nature take its course, and it's now a nature preserve. Thar are some pigs in these waters. Kayak and canoes only, and no motors. It's also a catch and release only.
