Question for you on the "fit and finish," have you considered using some Gammies or Owners for the hooks?

if i had them i certainly would lol.

on my smaller baits i use size 4 gammies, but these baits were too big for size 4 hooks... so i had to go with the 2/0 saltwater VMC's

Gotcha.  I wasnt sure if you were trying to use the saltwater hooks to match the belly or not...
