Gluing Plastic To Offset Worm Hook

Featured Replies

hello,

how do you guys superglue your plastic baits to the worm hook? a drop of glue under the eye near the bend and slide the worm over?

how many times can you glue a new bait to the same hook?

thanks!

If you do that the glue will cover the hook eye.

A easy way to hold the soft plastic onto the hook eye is use a rubber Peg-It about 3/16" to 1/4" long through the hook eye, then slide the soft plastic over it. This holds good without glue. Some anglers do this with a heavy piece of mono or a tooth pick, the Peg-It is the easiest method; slide the Peg-It through the eye, pull it until it's snug and clip off the ends leaving about 1/16" both sides of the hook eye.
