what're your favorite setups??

I have that rod with the Pflueger president. Lol. Like it but want a better set up!

And if you put some 6lb braid on it and fish fluoro leaders, it's a great drop shot setup. 

Best trout rod I ever had was a 6' 8" ML Shimano Crucial dropshot rod with a 1000 Symetre. It had a very soft tip but good backbone that fished small spoons and spinners better than any rod I've ever owned. 

 

For the pure fun of the fight, my 6' UL/F Avid with a 750 Symetre and 3.5lb DAM Techtan makes a 10" trout feel like a 10lb bass. 

I use a shimano Sedona 1000 paired with a Daiwa spinmatic rod 6'6" UL and 4lb seagur Red Label and I catch a lot of trout.

5' st croix triumph with a shimano ax 500...2 or 4lb trilene XL. This is used in stream and small river where casting distance is never an issue.
