Fishing In Hydrilla?

Featured Replies

hey guys, recently started fishing a new lake and there is alot of hydrilla.. a buddy showed me a good hotspot that is offshore and weeds come up to about 4 feet under the surface. this was at night and we caught plenty of fishing texas rigging plastics ripping through those weeds but it was pretty new to me considering theres virtually no weeds on my home lake, but is there any other tactics or favourite tactic you guys use in these weeds? lures other then soft plastics, etc. im a night owl so 90% of my fishing is done at night.

spinnerbait

and if night over 4 ft weeds you should be able to pull them up with a buzzbait

Swim a soft swim bait Big EZ, Skinny Dipper etc. where the milfoil or any type of grass for that matter, tops out.

Just tick the edges and letting it fall into any holes you can see.

Carolina rig, with a extra long liter, and a floating soft plastic..

Keep a bladed jig just above the hydrilla. Also, at night, I would for sure be throwing a buzz frog.
