Does anybody know what gears are compatible with a Gen 3 Revo S? I want to upgrade it to an 8:1 ratio or if possible to the 9:1 gears in the new Revo Rocket, I know it would be easier to buy a new reel but I don't want to shell out another $200 for a new reel. I think the only problem I will run into are some of the newer abu garcia reels have infini 2 spools and D2 gears, don't know if that will pose compatibility problems.

    call up Abu Garcia's service center and ask for Sonny , he will be able to hook you up with the gear ratio that you want if compatible for your reel . Abu Garcia has outstanding customer service ...

    It may be a tight fit or no fit at all the 9.1 gear may not fit in a that revo
