Okuma TCS Rod Broken
Well it was my own stupidity but the tip of my TCS rod snapped off this morning any idea what their warranty is like ? I know it's a lifetime warranty but I accidentally slammed it in the car door so I was wondering if anyone has had experience with warranting a rod from Okuma broken like this. Good start to my 4am bass opener lol.

Good All Around Rod for Girlfriend?
Thanks for all the suggestions! I think we will go with the lady president reel and a white veritas rod. The st.croix avid seems like a really good rod and what she wants but I'm from canada so the exchange rate kills the deal.

Good All Around Rod for Girlfriend?
My girlfriend and I often go fishing together and she's told me she wants to get a good quality setup in the $200 range( rod and reel ). She doesn't like baitcasters and prefere's spinning rods. She often fishes topwater, crankbaits and jigs. Was thinking a MH might be best as the lakes we fish in often have pretty good sized pike. Anybody have some insight on what rod to get and what action for this situation? Oh ya and she says she wants the rod to be Pink

Bass just slapping frog?
Fish a texas rigged tube on the surface instead of a hollow body frog. When the fish blows up on it let it flutter down into the water after.

Upgrading Revo Gears
Does anybody know what gears are compatible with a Gen 3 Revo S? I want to upgrade it to an 8:1 ratio or if possible to the 9:1 gears in the new Revo Rocket, I know it would be easier to buy a new reel but I don't want to shell out another $200 for a new reel. I think the only problem I will run into are some of the newer abu garcia reels have infini 2 spools and D2 gears, don't know if that will pose compatibility problems.

My Bank Fishing Setup
Thanks! I figured investing in some good plano's and organizing it so I can quickly and easily find what I need is just as important as actually buying the tackle.

My Bank Fishing Setup
So there have been a couple people who have been talking about bank setups and how they store their tackle recently and I wanted to share my bank setup and a little break down of it all. I have seen on this forum that there are quite a few bank fishers and I think this thread could have some quite useful info for people. Tackle First, is all my tackle in their plano's. I have 1 Deep 3700 for all my plastic craws and it seems like it will work very well for this upcoming season. I also have 3 3700 slim boxes and 1 3500 box. I have a box for my crankbaits which includes wigglewarts as my medium divers, squarebills diving 2'-4', a few lipless crankbaits and a jerkbait. Next 3700 is my worm box with 10" Ribbontails, some yamamoto senkos and some finesse worms My last 3700 is my terminal/Jig box and it has hooks, jigs, weights, chatterbaits, etc and I plan on filling the remaining spots with Nu-Tech jigs this summer. Last box I have is a 3500 box filled with BPS tubes. It is the bargain tube kit from BPS which is $10 and is a very good deal. If you're wondering where my topwater lures are I keep them in my tackle box as I don't have a lot of topwater stuff. Some buzzbaits, a frog and a few poppers are kept in here with extra line, pliers, stringer, trout lures and spoons and some Mepps spinners. Basically all the miscellaneous stuff you bring fishing is in here. In the black bag is a few packs of grubs and 2 packs of flukes I may throw in my pack if I feel they are necessary. All my stuff fits into a small Under Armour backpack I have laying around the house. The good thing about it is that it is quite a small backpack and I can fit all my utility boxes in it no problem, so any normal sized bag would have room to spare for all of my gear if I feel I need more space. It is also lighter than I expected and I could easily carry it for miles. RODS The rods I have are: - 6'6 M/Moderate Ugly Stick with Pro Qualifier BPS reel (2 Piece) - 6'9 MH/ Moderate-Fast Okuma TCS Rod with Lew's BB1 Reel 5.1:1(This is my All purpose cranking/ spinnerbait rod) (1 Piece Rod) - 6'9 MH/ XF Veritas with Revo SX reel 6.4:1 (This is a rod I can use for many applications) (2 Piece Rod, makes it feel more like a fast action) The reason I picked smaller rods is because I am fishing from the bank I didn't want a long 7'+ rod getting in the way of my casting around trees and bushes etc. When picking my rods I also assumed I would be fishing out of a kayak at times so I did not always opt for a 2 piece. My 2 main rods are 2 pieces for a few reasons, ease of transportation and the veritas was an XF, I wanted a F action but they were sold out and I found the 2 piece to have a bit slower of a taper than a 1 piece Veritas. The TCS I found to be a good all around rod for cranking and treble baits and I wanted to try a 1 piece rod so I chose a smaller size for when it comes to the bank and travelling with it. The Ugly Stik I bought last year when I was getting into Fishing and I wanted a dependable durable rod that I can throw basically any lure on. Im now planning on using it for dropshotting. I plan on only bringing 2 rods with me when I go to make carrying them easier but at times will bring 3.

How Do You Store Soft Plastics?
Well I have purchased a bunch of Berkley Havoc Craws, and a few D Bomb's for this upcoming season. Is this a good way to store them? I find it more organized then the bags and I can see the colour and style better, but will I have any problems with storing them like this?

Crankbait Question
So I have been buying crankbaits this winter as I want to start crankbait fishing this upcoming summer. I`ve been watching videos and reading articles on it but none that I have found talk about what style crankbait to use and when. For example when to use squarebills or medium diving crankbaits etc. I am a bank fisherman primarily so when do I use my squarebills running 2'-4` and when do I use my wiggle warts running 8`? When do I want them bouncing off the bottom and when do I want them running just off the bottom?

Ebay Rant: Won The Auction But Did I Really Win Here?
Personally when I sell things on ebay I try to ship as soon as possible but cannot at times. If it isn`t a business he is running then maybe he has a good reason for that 3 days for handling. You also have to remember that ebay takes out a percentage fee for the sale and if you paid with paypal they also take out a percentage as well (even though ebay owns paypal), along with with holding the sellers money for up to 2-3 weeks before it is available to them. So it`s not like this guy is already free to spend your money. If you got a bargain I would consider yourself lucky he actually decided to sell it. I`ve heard of people winning auctions cheap and then the buyer terminating the sale.

Fishing Rod Dilemma...need Opinions Please
Yes I am generally very aware and careful of my rod position when landing the fish in the canoe even with my ugly stik rod.

Fishing Rod Dilemma...need Opinions Please
What I was thinking was that the rod length would affect hooksets while sitting in a canoe

Fishing Rod Dilemma...need Opinions Please
So Earlier in January I placed an order through Amazon.ca (I am from Canada) for a *** *** Rod. I need a Jig rod and I thought this would do nicely it's a MH F 7'1" rod . The total with taxes and shipping came to CDN$ 99.53( $77.95 US). Now it is still on backorder as I expected but I have not been charged for the rod yet. I have the money for the rod but don't know if I really should/want to spend almost $100 on a rod, as I have already spent a lot on fishing stuff in the off season and especially this last month. However, I still need a Jig rod for a Used Revo S reel I had bought. While browsing some websites I came across a Gen 1 Veritas including shipping and taxes for CDN $55.30 ($43.30 US). It is a 6'9 MH XF rod. I figure the Revo S on the Veritas will balacne very well which is a plus with the veritas. Now my concerns are: - I mainly fish from the bank but also fish from a canoe/kayak(seated) at times and don't know which length would be best for this the 6'9 or 7'1 - I am getting what I think is a very good deal on the *** which I have heard great reviews on and don't want to miss a good deal - I have read that people have had problems with veritas snapping at the tip alot and I worry it won't last long or be very durable - I don't think there is much of a difference but one is XF tip and the others a F tip and I'm not sure which would be best for bank and canoe jig fishing If anyone can share their thoughts or opinions it would be much appreciated thanks!

Isn't there a way to combat this by deleting cookies from your browser or something of that sort?

Extra Spool For Lews Bb1?
Any luck with this? I have been thinking of getting an extra spool as well. If you got a hold of one how much did it cost?

Wiggle Warts Question
Would either of you two be able to offer me any techniques, scenarios, or tips for when and where to fish the warts??

Wiggle Warts Question
I've heard they're plenty sharp and they feel pretty sticky to me.

Wiggle Warts Question
Well my order came in. I am pretty impressed with the newer craw colours. They look really nice to me! I understand what people say about a higher pitched rattle from the steel balls but I'm sure they'll catch fish just fine. I can't wait for ice out to fish these!

Man, I Hate This
Being from Canada I find this quite humorous ! That's a regular occurrence up here. -30 (Fahrenheit) about -35 Celsius. Tons of snow, ice , wind you name it!

Man, I Hate This
If the weather is so cold then why not wait longer till you make an order like that. You won't be able to fish them anytime soon really. I know it's hard for me to do too, but makes more sense. If anything I would pop over to walmart and slowly knock one thing at a time off that list. Makes more sense money wise and picking up one or 2 things every once in a while will help keep the bait monkey away.

Bladed Swim Jig/ Chatterbait Question
How is the 3/8oz for casting?

Bladed Swim Jig/ Chatterbait Question
So I have been looking into what I would like to get this summer when it comes to jigs and I have decided on getting some bladed swim jigs. In my attempt to sort between what I want and what I need (I'm sure you all know how difficult that part is) I have not been able to decide between 3/8oz or 1/2 oz for my swim jigs. I have tried to research what weights are best for what depths but haven't been able to find any info on it. So my question is what size bladed swim jigs do you use and what depths do they go? Thanks in advance.

New Megabass Crankbait Grenade
Interesting. It doesn't seem to hunt like the S-Crank does... I didn't expect it to... but because it just seems like a bigger S-crank you would think it would be designed to.
