Just wonder what size jig heads (weight and hook size) you are using for your 3.8 and 4.8's. I'm going to give them another chance.

I'm assuming you're referring to the swing impacts. I like a 4/0 for the 3.8 and 5/0 for the 4.8. That's with the fats anyways. I'd probably go down a size with the standards. Weight really just depends on what you want to do with them.

Yes sorry the S.I.F. is what I use. I fish them on swimbait hooks a lot... like ridiculously a lot. But I wanted to try jig heads again since so many people have luck with them on jig heads.

I like 1/8 in less than 10 fow, and 1/4 deeper than that. Dont fish them much deeper though.

I use a 1/4oz with a 1/0 hook a majority of the time. Usually fish them with 20lb braid and a 8 or 10 pound leader. I catch about everything with them. That little hook will withstand an amazing amount of pressure too, way more than any bass is going to put on it.
