that's why I tie uni-unis. Forget those fg's. Ain't nobody got time fo' 'dat!

uni to uni works great for me when i use them , i use a bigger diameter flouro leader to increase the breaking strength of that line , it's usually not the connection knot for me but the strength of the leader . the only times i use a leader is on my spinning rod , 10 lb. braid to 12 lb. Shooter Metan Green or 16 lb. Sniper . those complicated knots are not my thing , good luck though , nice to see some one take the time to compile data for others

I would like to see the Improved Albright go head to head with the double uni.  In my experience the Albright wins, hands down.  I tie it a little differently, though.  I have improved the Improved albright.

my terminal knot always breaks before the uni-uni, so what's the point of using a knot that's any stronger?

Sounds like you need a better terminal knot, or more practice tying it.

As stated before, there are two things about my line to line knot that are important.  One of course is strength.  The other, for me, since I use a lot of rods with micros or other small guides, it that it goes through the guides easily.  It turns out that the FG is better at both than any other knot.  The only disadvantage to the FG is that some people find it hard to tie.  With a reasonable amount of practice, it can be tied easily under any fishing circumstances without having to set up your rod to tension the braid or do other out of the hand tricks.  It just takes an understanding of how it is to be tied, and some practice.
