I just got my 852s in. I was planning on throwing 12 pound power pro tied to an 8 pound fluro leader. Those tip guides look awful small. Anyone through braid on their NrX spinning?

Take a look at the FG knot, various links and vedio's are on the web. This is the lowest profile braid to FC leader that I know of. Make sure you use about 2 yards longer leader than you plan on fishing with and trim to length after tying the knot.

Practice at home several times, good but not easy to tie on the water.

braid + fluoro is all i throw. i've had zero problems with 15# power pro and 6#-10# sunline sniper FC on my NRX 822S DSR or my NRX852S JWR with an alberto connection knot.
