Had planned on getting one of these. Had been to their website previously. And it said they would be available September 9th. So today I went online to Bps and other retailers. Nothing to be found. So I went to Pflueger's website and it says they are out of stock. Now that's what I call limited.

Anyone have the inside scoop on what's going on?

They only made enough for employees; they're going to stash them for 15 years and resell them on an auction site for a lot of money...

 

That, or they're just out of stock, delayed in shipping, or a combination of thereof.  I worked for Alpine Electronics of America for a number of years and ran into product delivery delays occasionally.  Consumers weren't always happy, but there was always a good reason for it.

 

I'd sit tight for a bit, or drop Pflueger an email asking about that model's status.

When they say it will be available on the 9th of a month, it is only an estimate. Not only that but sometimes it is available direct from the manufacturer and hasn't hit retail shelves yet. I got  my first Fenwick ET Smallmouth rod when they were first released and I had to get it directly from Fenwick as there wasn't any retailers that had them yet, it all depends on whether the shipments go to a central warehouse and get distributed from their or if they go to multiple retail warehouses for distribution. If you can't find it in store try the manufacturer, in this case Pflueger, and see if it is available from them.

Just talked to the guys a pflueger, they sold out fast. But they will be back in stock a *** in the next week or so. Ive been waiting for this

They set an ambitious date to get people hyped, then they deliver later when people are in a frenzy! (Maybe)

I'm sure it'll be worth the wait though. They make great stuff. I'm very impressed with them.
