Foul Hooked

Featured Replies

I landed a 4 lb lmb this past weekend on a spinnerbait, only to find out that I had foul-hooked her solidly just in front of the dorsal fin.  Think she just missed the bite, was trying to swat it, or what?

I've seen many a fish swim and displace a lure with a "swipe" by. Probably done out of curiosity.

I would be happy to have a 4lb bass at tbe end of my line though...foul or not!

Id say it swiped at it. Would think it would be pretty hard to foul hook on a spinner bait if it didn't swipe at it.

Agree with the others, she would have to hit that thing pretty hard and at a strange angle. Either way good fish haha!

Imagine your disappointment were that a world record bass.  It happened!  Dickerson / Dottie!

Might have just snagged her!
