Question about powder painting jig heads

Featured Replies

I am suppose to be getting my paints, molds, etc sometime this week.  I know on a lot of store jigs the head will be two-toned.  For example the majority of the head will be green-pumkin while the botom has a little orange in it.  Can this be accomplished with powder paints.  If so what is the process.  Can you dip in one and then the other, or do you have to let one color dry, etc.

I am new to making my own jigs as well and was curious how to do this also. I found a video on you tube that show's how to do it. Use the first color, bake it with the heat gun until it get's shiny, then get a small brush, dip it in your second color and lightly tap the brush over your jig head until you cover what you want to cover. Then follow same process with heat gun. There's a video on youtube that shows how to do it. Do a search for making jigs. It's a 2 part video.

yes you can.  Dip the whole head in green then the bottom in orange.

two, three, spatter finishes, the possibilities are endless

like GMAN said dip the whole head in the color you want and then dip a portion in the accent color either while still hot or after a short amount of time in your curing run
