What Rod For A Daiwa Tatula 100Hl?

Featured Replies

Okay, it's looking more and more like I will most likely be getting a Daiwa Tatula 100HL, I really like the Lew's Tournament Pro but the cost difference is almost $40 so that definitely is swaying things towards the Tatula. My question is, which MH rod for around $100 pairs well with a Tatula? The ones I'm thinking about are as follows (but feel free to add something):

Duckett Ghost

*** Black

St. Croix Mojo Bass

Dobyn's Fury

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Is there a store near by that carries what you are looking for? You can out the reel on the pole and check if you like it. I have a Tat on the ghost 7'3" heavy. I do not care for the tat because of it size on the rod and the evga grips on the rod do not make a good combo after casting for a while for me.

Just picked up a new *** with full cork, really like it so far. I was not a fan of the original *** split grip, reel seat that rod sits in the wall rack but I own a few ghosts also and agree that the Eva/ tat reel size may be something u should check out first before buying one

Unfortunately I only have a Dick's Sporting Goods nearby and they just have the Duckett Ghost in stock so I can't really compare it to anything else.

I would suggest the Daiwa Tatula line of rods for this reel.

I have the same reel on an *** 2, and its a really nice combo. I had the reel on an *** gen 1 previously and really liked that as well.

I also have mine paired with an *** Black Gen1 and love it so far, and it looks killer!
