Everglades Bass Reports?

Featured Replies

Anyone fished the everglades recently?  Any reports im going in two weeks.

Thanks

Where at in the Everglades are you going?  Right now water is high in my area and the bass fishing has been slow.  Have seen some Peacock Bass reports saying they are biting.

It's rough with the amount of water lately

I know Captain Shane has been catching them.

Speaking of Peacocks, this last weekend I saw several small peas out on Tamiami Trail. I had never seen them way out there.

Yeah, Peas are down in the Glades. The big freeze of 09-10 killed them off. Hopefully they can come back. I remember the days where the majority of the fish on some days would be pea's.

Peacocks were all over the place before the big freeze.  They were abundant all over the Alley and at Loxahatchee.  They went belly up  and have been slowly coming back.  They are strong in some of the north Broward and palm beach areas like Ida and Osbourne.   The ones that survived will be more resistant to cold fronts then the ones that died. Lol!!!!!!!!

A couple of months back I found some around the bridges on the Alley.  Not sure, but seemed like they were bedding. Caught a decent one just can't figured out how to post the picture on here.

Went out to Holiday this morning for around three and a half hours or so. Had around an 18-20 pound bag. I was happy with that considering I haven't been there in months. Wind was ripping.

Probably go again tomorrow and try a different area. Water levels are pretty high right now.
