Which Would You Get

Featured Replies

Looking at a new reel for st croix legend extreme 7ft mhf, Want to put a shimino metanium hg or a lew team pro on it.  I already have cores, chronarchs and tournament pros and really like all of them.  Kinda been leaning more towards shimano these days but lews are great also.  So,  what would you get?

I would get the Metanium, without a second thought.  That said, if you like the Lew's better, get it.  They are both good reels.

I would also get the Metanium. The resell value is also a lot stronger.

I just handled my buddy's brand new DC MET. Sweet reel. Palmed nicely. To the OP, if you can get your hands on both reels and feel for yourself will be your best bet.

You notice that it is on sale for $200 @TW

Get the lews. The lews team reels are unbeatable for the price. Also Lews customer service is unmatched.

Easily Metanium 13 for around 260.
