Do they all hunt, or only some of them?

Unfortunately only some.   But the ones that don't hunt still fish well and have a much different sound than most modern plastic crankbaits.

Only some of them hunt. The hard part about it is it was the "bad" ones that didn't run straight that are actually the good ones, so producing the "good" ones was purely accidental. 

Some run straight without hunting.  Some won't run straight and you can't tune them either.  A few run straight and also hunt.  It's purely a crap shoot, and a rather expensive one on some models.
